Gloss or slip-resistant?
A mirror shine looks good but is slippery when wet, which matters for children and elderly family members. For shower areas we recommend a honed (matt) or satin finish. The rest of the bathroom can be polished to gloss if you prefer.
Why bathroom marble gets dull so fast
Soap scum, body products and mineral deposits build up as a film, while acidic cleaners etch the surface underneath. Cleaning harder with stronger chemicals usually makes it worse. Proper honing removes both the film and the etching in one go.

Frequently asked questions
Can you make my marble bathroom floor less slippery?
Yes. Honing to a matt or satin finish increases grip compared with a high gloss. We can also advise on anti-slip treatments.
How long is the bathroom out of use?
About 4 to 6 hours. If you have only one bathroom, we schedule around your family.
Do you also clean the grout?
Yes. Grout is cleaned as part of the job; badly cracked or mouldy grout can be regrouted.
Which cleaner is safe for bathroom marble?
A pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid vinegar, toilet bowl cleaner, bleach and limescale removers on marble.
