What marble polishing actually does
Marble is mostly calcite, a mineral that is much softer than granite or porcelain. Shoes, sand and chair legs leave thousands of micro-scratches, and these scatter light so the floor looks dull. Polishing is not a coating: it removes the damaged surface in fine stages with diamond abrasives, then polishes the fresh stone so it reflects light again.
Polishing vs grinding vs crystallisation
Light dullness only needs honing and polishing. Uneven tiles (lippage), deep scratches and many etch marks need grinding first, which flattens the floor before polishing. Crystallisation is a chemical polish that gives a quick, hard gloss and is often used for a shine refresh. We explain which your floor needs during the site check, not after.
Our process
- Inspect and test. We check the marble type, scratches, etching, stains and hollow tiles, and do a small test patch if needed.
- Protect. Furniture is moved, and cabinets, doors, skirting and glass are taped and covered with plastic.
- Hone. Diamond pads remove dullness, scratches and etch marks in stages from coarse to fine.
- Polish. Marble polishing powder or crystallisation brings up the gloss.
- Detail. Corners and edges are finished by hand where the machine cannot reach.
- Clean and seal. We clean the slurry, dry the floor and apply sealer if you chose it.
- Booking wait
- Usually 3 to 7 days after you confirm the quote

How much does marble polishing cost in Singapore?
Marble floor polishing starts from $1/sq ft. A living or dining room of about 250 sq ft is from $350, and a whole condo unit of about 1,000 sq ft from $1,000. Minimum job charge $350 ($250 for sealing only). We confirm the price on WhatsApp before we start.

Most 2- to 3-bedroom condo units and 3- to 4-room flats are done in 1 day. Large penthouses, landed homes and office lobbies take 2 to 3 days.
