Marble Wine Mark Restoration in Singapore
Red wine is one of the hardest spills for marble because it does two kinds of damage at once: its acid etches a dull ring into the surface, and its colour soaks in and leaves a purple or brown stain. We treat both, in the right order, and restore the shine.

What's included
- Colour stain drawn out with poultice
- Etch ring honed and polished
- Treatment of other drinks: juice, coffee, tea, soft drinks
- Dining tables, kitchen islands, bar tops, floors and vanity tops
- Blending so the area matches the rest of the stone
Signs you need this
- Purple, pink or brown rings on light marble
- Dull circles where glasses or bottles stood
- Dark splash marks around the dining or bar area
- Marks from spilled juice or soft drinks

What to do right after a wine spill
Blot the wine with a paper towel without spreading it. Rinse with plain water and blot dry. Do not use vinegar, lemon or bathroom cleaner. If a mark remains, take a photo in daylight and send it to us; fresh stains are much easier to remove than old ones.
Why order matters
If an etched area is polished while the wine colour is still inside the stone, the stain can be locked under the fresh polish. We always draw out the colour first, then fix the dull ring.
Our process
- Remove the colour first with a poultice, so polishing does not seal it in.
- Then repair the etch by honing and polishing.
- Blend and protect the area.
- Booking wait
- Usually 1 to 3 days
- Time on site
- 1 to 2 visits; poultice may be left overnight for deep wine stains

Frequently asked questions
Can red wine stains be removed from marble?
Usually yes, especially if treated within weeks. We remove the colour with a poultice and polish out the etch.
Why is there a dull ring as well as a stain?
Wine is acidic. The acid etches the surface while the colour soaks in.
Do you restore marble dining tables?
Yes, on site. Tables, islands and bar tops are done the same way.
Is it the same for coffee and juice?
Similar. Coffee mostly stains; juices and soft drinks mostly etch.
