Working around a live building
Downtown Core buildings rarely close. We plan work for nights and weekends, polish in sections, keep a dry route open, and use wet slurry recovery so there is no dust in the air-con. Loading bay and service lift bookings are arranged with management in advance.
Shophouses and conservation buildings
Many shophouses around Tanjong Pagar, Telok Ayer and Bugis have marble at the five-foot way entrance, staircase or ground floor. We work with low-vibration machines and protect timber, tiles and plaster that cannot be replaced.
Our process
- Survey the floor, traffic pattern and access, and agree the work window with management.
- Submit the method statement, risk assessment, insurance and worker list for approval.
- Set up barricades and signage, and protect lifts, doors and fittings.
- Grind, hone and polish in sections so routes stay open.
- Hand over each section dry and clean before the building opens.
- Maintain with scheduled shine visits if you choose a contract.

Aftercare
Use long entrance mats to catch grit, dust-mop daily with a treated mop, and avoid acidic or ammonia cleaners. Most busy lobbies need a shine visit every 1 to 3 months and full honing every 1 to 2 years.
